About NeedAload

NeedAload has been created by Clwyd Transport Services Ltd. (CTS) based in Wrexham, North Wales.

It was set up in response to requests from both customers and hauliers with the objective of increasing service efficiency.


Customers need a way of advertising all their loads available around the country and hauliers want to see what work is available to them. We supply the link between the two and act as a central coordinator

CTS have years of experience with this type of coordination and now the Internet makes it possible to offer that experience to the whole industry.

NeedAload is the name of the Web-based service. It is owned and run by CTS and all contractual links are with Clwyd Transport Services Ltd.

Here's how it operates for both Customers and Hauliers:

FOR CUSTOMERS  NeedAload is a simple quick and efficient way for both producers and hauliers with available work to advertise loads immediately they are available, to every haulier in the country with the big advantage of dealing with only one company.
Once we have contracted for a load, CTS takes full responsibility for its collection and delivery and for controlling the movement from start to finish.


It works very simply:


1. Click on 'Post A Load' and follow the instructions.
2. If you are a new customer you will be asked to register; this is designed to protect the web page from misuse.
3. Once registered you will be issued with a password and you can enter any work you have available, amend it or delete as required.
4. Your load will be posted on the site but your identity will not be revealed. This will be known only to Needaload.
5. Any haulier may view the loads available but work is only given to hauliers known to CTS Ltd and who can comply with defined Quality Assurance requirements in accordance with CTS's ISO 9002 Quality Management Registration. This ensures that he is fully insured and registered with DOT, etc.

6. When an approved haulier sees your load and contacts Needaload the rate will be quoted together with all other relevant details about the load and the job.
7. If the approved haulier is suitable, CTS allocates the work to him, accepts the load from you and at this point a contract is established.
8. Needaload will then amend your entry accordingly by either deleting the load from the database if the total quantity has been accepted, or reducing the quantity shown by the amount accepted by CTS.
9. CTS will invoice you for the load at the rate agreed once proof of satisfactory delivery has been received from the haulier.

FOR HAULIERS  NeedAload is an ideal way to find a load when you want one, maximise the use of your vehicles and prevent costs from overtaking earnings. Plus, you only have to deal with one company for all instructions, invoicing, payments and assistance.

You do not need to register to view the loads available. Just tell us where you want to go from and to and NeedAload will give you a choice of loads available in order of most suitable for you.

It works very simply:

1. Click on 'Search For Load' and follow the instructions.
2. A box appears asking you to state which types of load you want to see, Bulk, General, Both or All Loads. Click on one of the buttons.
3. If you click on All Loads, a complete list of loads available, in alphabetical order by collection address, will appear.
4. If you click on any of the other buttons, a map of the country will appear asking you to click on the approximate point you wish to pick up a load. It will recognise any point. It does not have to be the nearest town shown, they are named simply to aid your positioning. When you click, a 'P' will be left on the map showing your ideal Pick-up point.
5.You now have two choices.
CHOICE ONE:
If you want to view loads to be delivered in any direction from around your pick-up point, just click 'search now' button and a list will appear.
 CHOICE TWO:
If you have an ideal delivery point, click the map again and a 'D' will appear to indicate your preferred choice, Then click the 'search now' button and NeedAload will ask you to wait, while it sorts the available loads that best suit your preferred journey.
6. There may not be a load exactly where you require but you will be shown the best available (in descending order) in terms of minimising empty traveling distance for you.
7. If any of the loads look suitable and you would like to know more, make a note of the reference number and either telephone or press the Contact Us button and send us an email.
8. If you are a new user you will be asked to supply some business details. Only bona fide hauliers who can satisfy CTS of their capability to provide an adequate service will be given work.
9. Once CTS has the necessary information, you will be told the rate for the job.
10. If you accept the job the collection and delivery addresses plus any other details will be given to you together with any other information about contacts at CTS and what to do in the event of any problems.
11. On completion, invoice to CTS promptly with POD attached. We will process your invoice. Payment is 30 days after month of delivery unless by prior arrangement.
